Mother's Day Thankfulness
As I was contemplating Mother's Day and how things have evolved over the years as we celebrate our Mother's. I discovered this special day was set aside to "recognizes mothers, motherhood and maternal bonds in general, as well as the positive contributions that we make to society. It was established by Anna Jarvis, with the first official Mother's Day was celebrated at St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908". (Mother's Day - Wikipedia) I was caught off guard that we only celebrate one day to be recognized. We should enjoy the day and let the gifts, dinners, and whatever is planned to celebrate your day be a loving memory that you are loved by your family, friends, and most importantly Jesus Christ.
We as women are strong and resilient and we should give thanks that God created us as the beautiful creatures who would bring life to mankind. We are the holiness of God because God sent His Son Jesus through a Virgin who knew no man and was righteous in the sight of God Almighty. As we celebrate on May 13, 2018, remember who you are as a woman. Celebrate life and give yourself a loving hug because you are beautiful and magnificently made whole by God.
