For the Day of the Lord
"Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty." Joel 1:15 (NIV)
We are sitting at one minute before the Lord returns to earth to take home His righteous ones. People are moving around like there is nothing to worry about without a care. Just like the days of Noah from the Bible are upon us. As a world outside of Jesus Christ, no one is listening. People are dying from the plague, wars, and rumors of wars. Destructive weather globally ruining homes, crops, and global businesses.
We have become lost souls with our heads in the ground like Ostriches. We have let the political flavor of the decade decide how we will react rather than trying to find the One true God who will fix everything. We must remember we own nothing. God made it all, and it belongs to Him, including ourselves.
The sentence "The day of the Lord" means an eschatological day of ultimate judgment bringing final deliverance or doom. We, as humans, must be ready to receive Jesus the Messiah as our Lord and Savior.
Jesus came to die for our sins, and we must not forget this special gift "freely" given to the world. Let's get ready for the Passover preparation that begins on February 26. 2020; it will last for 40 days. Then the renewal of our minds and reenactment of the Crucifixion will be upon us. Then the Resurrection Day celebration will begin on Easter morning. However, keep in mind. The day of doom is around the corner. Get your mind, soul, and spirit ready to receive Jesus the Messiah as your King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So when he does return, you will be HIS, and HE will be YOURS. Get ready!
