God has Authority

Writer: Ardith Arnelle `PriceArdith Arnelle `Price

Last week, we examined the word salvation. Let’s continue with who has authority over Creation. In the book of Job, Elihu tells Job that he has forgotten what Father God has done for him and who has control over man. The edge of God is just a minuscule speck. Several weeks ago, we had a horrendous storm, and the house shook when the thunder roared and rumbled. I trembled inside and leaped in my seat because of the intensity of the thunder and the lighting with a blast of the thunder. The book of Job speaks of thunder in Job 37, 1-2, AMP: “Indeed, at His thundering, my heart trembles and leaps out of its place. Listen carefully to the thunder of His voice and the rumbling that goes out of His mouth!”

Father God, let me and my neighborhood know who was in charge. We are still discussing the shaking of our homes, God’s blasting, ear-piercing voice. The same voice God spoke to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 5:22-27 on Mt. Sinai when the people were frightened and asked Moses to talk to God. The massive blaze emanating from the mountain and the bellowing voice of the LORD left the people petrified, envisioning their demise. These sacred Scriptures show that El Shaddai has authority over our lives and everything in Creation.
