Mercy and Distress
Father God calls us to listen and read His words, and when we lack the understanding to heed His calling, we fall into a pit of despair. Horrific news of a loved one’s dying or health issues can rob us of our calm demeanor and cause us to worry. Yet Almighty God didn’t put people here on this planet to lose heart and live in darkness. Jesus Christ brought hope and light to dark, dreary lifestyles. His word says, “Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer” (Psalm 4:1), said the psalmist David. The Scripture speaks when men condemn us unjustly; this is our comfort; it is God that justifies; he is the God of a believer’s righteousness. Almighty God alone is the patron of justice, and HE is the one that hears our cries and gives mercy to those who ask for his repentance.
As we continue with the world plague as it mutates, let us remember Father God sent His Son Jesus to save us of our sinful ways, and once we believe in Him, we’re saved from our sins. Take time and read the Christian Sci-fi Futuristic Novel, “Exalted Above All Gods.”
