Unexpected Challenges

We have experienced unexpected occurrences that devastated our lives. How did we handle the crisis? In my case. I had life-altering changes during the covid plague that changed the course of my singing career. After the surgery, my singing voice was quiet. God blessed me with a stellar professional career in classical music, but my voice was silent. I wondered if I could sing after thyroid surgery, and my voice returned after prayer and vocal therapy. I wasn’t in charge of my voice. God gave my singing voice to me as a special gift to praise and honor Him, and the Scriptures state,

“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21b)

The content that Job expressed was his loss of family and wealth. But whatever we own is a gift, and if we don’t honor God, He will take our talent. I have been a faithful servant and knew Jesus would restore what the devil took with prayer, faith, and petition. My point is to be alert to what you consider a talent. Your very life is a blessing, and use it to worship honor, praise, and thank Father God for everything you own and take nothing for granted. Read Just the Edge of God
