What Does Jesus Look Like?

Do we know what the Son of God looks like? Yes, we do, and it is explained in many Scriptures. For example, in Isaiah 53: 2 (AMP), “For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant), And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him, Nor [handsome] appearance that we would be attracted to Him.”

The Bible also states that we shouldn’t make a graven image of God, the Son of God; this is the second commandment. (You shall not make idol before Me) All photos and artifacts man has made are sins against Almighty God and the Triune Godhead.

But as for Father God, John 4:24 boldly states, “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” 1 Timothy 1:17 refers to him as “the King eternal, immortal, invisible.” The Scripture indicates that although God can appear in various forms, including humans, he has no basic physical form because HE is fire. In Ezekiel 1:26-28, it’s a similar scenario: “And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone:

The eyes of Father God are described in Proverb 15:3 “The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” However, this is only one verse describing the awesome God, his essence.
