Man believes he made everything we have on Earth; yet another hidden dimension plays into fact, and it’s God. Heaven is so fantastic we cannot describe it. It is indescribable, and Jesus speaks of the magnificent city He is making for us who believe in Him.
In John 14:3, NLT, Jesus states, “When everything is ready, I will come and get you so that you will always be with me where I am.”
What does it mean everything is ready?
His words mean that His death was the preparation for us to receive a place in the Father’s house. It is ready now. Jesus Christ will come again when His Father gives the word, which has been a mystery for centuries. “But about that day or hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. (Mark 13:32)
“For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7
What does it mean he is taken out of the way?
The phrase implies that the Holy Spirit prevents the Antichrist’s emergence until Father God signals to unleash him. During the Tribulation, the Holy Spirit will stay on Earth to offer salvation to those who were previously unbelieving or lacked strong faith, but are now prepared to accept it. Many saints will come together during the Tribulation.
Matthew 23:38, “For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.”
It is essential to clarify that Jesus, in his human form, intentionally didn’t disclose the time of his “catching up” of saints. Jesus did not exercise His omniscience except to further the kingdom. To unmask the coming (the church’s rapture) could have damaged the kingdom’s work. In his divinity, Jesus knows when He will come, and we must wait and do the church’s work until that day. Take time this week and during the time of Lent and reacquaint yourself with Jesus, the coming Messiah.
