The month of June has brought anxious thoughts to many folks I have spoken with regarding our country, political events, and society. During Jesus’s time, there was political upheaval and harsh treatment of Christians and Jews who lived in Jerusalem. But, the major fact was Jesus was not only a man but a deity who held his disciples close to Him with His words from the Scriptures. He delivered nourishment to His disciples through His Holy Spirit that spread worldwide.
In John 4:14, Jesus states, “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
As Christians, we must spread the ACTUAL word of Jesus to love one another as we do ourselves and bring peace where there is conflict and love where hate abounds. No one ever said living on this planet would be easy because once you are a Christian, the weight of the world surrounds us, and as a Christian, we are called to be consistent with our actions, not misleading and deceptive. Remember, Almighty God is watching everyone constantly and listening to every word and action. So, be a humble Christian and show the love of God.
