Healing of the Woman

The unnamed woman in the Bible with the issue of blood touched the tassel of Jesus’s clothing. (Luke 8:43-49) He immediately recognized that someone had touched Him. How did Jesus know power had left Him? This particular story in the Bible has baffled me for years. Because Jesus was both human and a deity, he had the advantage as a deity of knowing when the blood had cleansed someone of their sins (Leviticus 17:11)

The woman’s faith was to be healed by stretching out her hand in the crowd and touching Jesus, then her twelve-year hemorrhage stopped. Jesus knew someone took healing power from Him. His immediate response, Jesus said (v 48), “then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

The key to the entire story is the woman touched the fringe of the tassel on his clothing because her faith was great, and she knew the Messiah Jesus had the power to heal her of sin and make her whole. Read Just the Edge of God. #bookstagrammer #bookblogger #inspiration
