When Moses led the Hebrews through the Red Sea, they celebrated, but soon after, they complained about the water shortage. Their actions caused Father God pain, and his anger burned. Despite that, He gave them water, manners, and quail as food, yet they still complained. Each time, God spared them. But when the Hebrews had a party at the foot of Mt. Sinai with the golden calf. That blatant act of disobedience saddened the Father, and HE was also ready to take their lives. Moses stood in the gap, saving the people from God’s wrath.
Yet, God loved them, and as promised Abraham, He would make him a mighty nation. The nomadic family became the Jewish nation that gave us Jesus, who came to save us from our sinful ways. The Jewish people lost their homeland when they worshiped idol gods. God promised to bring them back and reclaim their land. Genesis 12:3, NIV, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Also, Ezekiel 36:24-27 says, “For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.”
So, yes, El Shaddai punishes. The day will come when the passive wrath disappears. The Great White Throne of God will bring Father God’s wrath upon unbelievers. Keep your eyes lifted and pray as the hour of Jesus Christ’s return is soon.
